Dear Tom " Spartan " Smith,

I am writing you to tell you what a great experience it has been to fly with your organization. I flew my 2nd and 3rd flights on May 4th of this year out of Brookhaven Airport. I flew with Spanky for my first flight and Ratso for my second flight of the day. I was told by your office that my first flight of the day would be a little subdued and that I would be able to spread my wings, so to speak, during the second flight. Well, that couldn't have described it any better. Although Spanky did a great job, it wasn't until I flew with Ratso ( he was my pilot last summer ) that I was to realize my greater potential. He really let me go! Since we had flown last year, he had prior knowledge of my skill level and treated me accordingly. He really ran me through the paces. He rarely had to correct my flying, but when I got a little carried away during my last dogfight, and put the plane into an uncontrolled spin (twice!), he deftly and very calmly helped me get out of it. I never worried for an instant that I was in any kind of danger. He instilled confidence in me while giving me great guidance. He is truly a great part of your organization and , I suspect, a sample of your other pilots.
Last year, I liked my experience so much, that I expected to do it again, "sometime in the future". The truth was that I was thrilled, but a little bit intimidated so I did not have any definite plans to get right back in the saddle. Well, it wasn't very long before the urge to do it again struck me, and my girlfriend and children offered to get it for my Christmas and birthday gift, that I decided to make a reservation for this May. I couldn't have been more impressed and now consider myself a perennial enthusiast. As Arnold Schwartzenegger's character once said, "I'll be back!!!". I recommend Air Combat USA to everyone I can.

It was a great experience. I never exaggerate, but for a non-pilot, it was an amazing experience to actually fly the plane in dogfight like scenario's (multiple loops, hard diving turns, etc...), and yet feel so safe with the veteran pilots at our side. It was absolutely crazy that we got to actually fly, and do the things we did - I mean for almost a solid hour, it was my plane. Pilots were great to work with and made me feel totally confident that they could handle anything that could happen.
I'll share more on line, but if anyone is even considering this, take it from me, just do it!! You will be 100% happy you did! - it is a definite "bucket list" item! ...

Flew combat planes out of Las Vegas the week of December 15th. What a blast I had !! Instructors went over safety and maneuvers. Flying upside down ans pulling 4G's was the best. I did get a little sick at the end. Everything is what they advertise and I will do this again in the future..

Absolutely the most exciting thing I've ever done.It has been a few years since my flight and I still cant stop talking about it.I flew with Nails and he made this an experiance I'll never forget.Thanks for an unforgettable day. Planning a return trip in 2013

This was a thrilling experience and was at the top of my bucket list. I enjoyed every minute of it and when the manuvering began to play dirty tricks with my 65 year old gut, my instructor "Bogey" came through with a modified flight envelope to maximize my comfort and enjoyment. I must say that J.R. seemed genuinely committed to insure my experience was all that I had hoped it would be and I sincerely thank him for his patience and professionalism. Also, I'd like to thank the organization for taking the risk and putting together an outstanding program to let us "wannabes" get a taste of military combat flying. It certainly gives one a greater appreciation of what these young guys and gals do who strap on a high performance military aircraft and go to work each day.

It's hard to find the words to explain the feeling of flying a combat plane....This was truly an awesome experience !!! However, being 65 yrs. old the 4th time we did a loop at almost 5 g's made me a little woozy... Glad my wife was there to drive home... would i do this again -- probably not ?? Would i recommend this to a friend -- hell yes !!!!

I always wanted to take off and land on an aircraft carrier. And of course that would never happen. I purchased the Air Combat flight at a Habitat Auction and saw the chance to get something that sounded a lot of fun. Well it was amazing!!!! I tell my friends what the pilots help us do and that we get to fly the plane in a dog fight, well, they cannot believe it. It was so much fun and is checked off the bucket list. Thanks for a wonderful experience.

My experience on August 12 out of New Windsor, NY....they were the best and I had the best Mother's Day gift ever...always wanted to fly.

Can't wait to tell everyone...the tape was great.

I have to say that it was a dream come true to not only fly an airplane, but dogfight my brother-in-law. Thank you Spartan for guiding me through it and making every moment memorable and thank you Smudge for flying with my brother-in-law! You guys were awesome! We're waiting for 2013's schedule so we can do it again!

Really a thrill and had a great deal of fun. Very nervous at first. Wished I could have had a longer time to get adjusted to the airplane before I was in charge of flying. I think I could have done much better with more "pre-battle" flying. So different from flying a Bonanza. It was so much fun once I adjusted to the controls. Smudge was an excellent instructor and very patient. It is a lifetime memory and looking forward to showing the video to my kids. Thanks so much...
