Roster of Instructor Pilots
Lefty has over 11,000 hours flying including 9 years in the Air Force as a Fighter Pilot in the F-15 Eagle as well as an instructor pilot in the T-37. Since 1991 Rick has been with a major airline flying worldwide in the 727, 737, 757, 767, and MD-88 and serving as an instructor in the 737. He was born in Honolulu Hawaii a “Navy Brat” and grew up on naval bases around the world. Rick graduated from Florida State University with honors in 1983 and joined the Air Force. After Pilot training in Arizona, he was assigned instructor duty in California earning “Instructor pilot of the year” honors. From there Lefty capped his career as an F-15 pilot based in Anchorage Alaska. Rick holds type ratings in the DC-9, 737, 757, and 767 as well as a commercial glider rating. In addition to sharing the thrill of air combat, Rick is a volunteer for Angel Flight and the Civil Air Patrol. He now resides in Beverly Hills California with his vivacious wife and brilliant daughter.
