Experience firsthand the thrill and excitement of flying a light attack fighter in air-to-air combat. Phase I provides an introduction to the Tactical Fighter Maneuvers (TFM-l). Fully briefed you'll climb into the aircraft alongside your instructor. With your hands on the controls you will engage in multiple "g-pulling" dogfights. Your flight will be recorded on video tape and reviewed in a flight debriefing. Groups are welcome. Bring a friend and settle the score.

Our most comprehensive training program building on the Basic Fighter Maneuvers (BFM). Our Fighter Lead In Program is devoted to formation flight, hi & low yo-yos, lead and lag pursuits, displacement rolls, vertical and oblique turns. You will actually fly two separate missions; the first flight is a practice session focusing on the fundamentals of each maneuver and preparing you for the second flight where you will use the maneuvers in a variety of tactical situations. Once you have completed both missions you will receive your flight video to commemorate your day at Air Combat USA®. In addition you are inducted into the Air Combat USA® Fighter Squadron entitling you to fly at current Squadron Member rates. This is a real fighter pilot fantasy.

Now you don’t have to choose just one friend or colleague to share your dogfight experience with, you can bring them all; or at least nine of them. In the Top Gun Challenge Package, you and nine of your comrades will pair up to fly one mission. Your mission will be scored according to a pre-determined set of criteria. The two top scorers will then compete in the shoot-off round where one will emerge as the TOP GUN. Great for bachelor parties, college reunions or just a weekend adventure among friends. This package includes group briefing, ten Air Combat Missions, flight videos, shoot-off round, trophy and bragging rights to the winner.
 
 
 
 
 

Phase II - IV Each subsequent Phase will begin with a review of the previous Phase(s) and add more complex maneuvers. By exposing you to defensive tactics in Phase II and the high G-load tactics in Phase III then bringing it all together in Phase IV. Any or all of the maneuvers in Phases I - III will be incorporated in Phase IV. You will deal with what you are dealt using the skills you have learned so far.

    Phase II
  • Pre-briefing, which will include:

    • Maneuvers for Airspeed and Lateral Separation
    • High Side Attacks
    • Defensive Maneuvers
    • Rolling Scissors
  • Flying six combat engagements
  • Debriefing and review of the videotapes


    Phase III

  • Review of Phase I and II
  • High Speed Fighter Tactics Including:
    • Fly-through Extension
    • Pitch-Back
    • Head-Fake
    • Nose Low Slice Turn
    • Immelmann Attacks
  • Flying minimum of six combat engagements
  • Debriefing and review of the videotapes


    Phase IV

  • Review of all previous phases
  • Rules of Engagement (ROE)
  • Flying a minimum of six combat engagements

Once you have completed, either our basic Phase I (BACM) course or the Fighter Lead In Program, you're eligible for the most intense advanced training offered to civilians. Train to proficiency in the Tactical Fighter Maneuvers (TFM- I & 2) and learn the strategies in the "angles fight", the "energy fight", and the fight between similar and dissimilar aircraft. This program includes two flights, which will have you flying at the edge of the aircraft's flight envelope. As a graduate you will receive your flight video, fighter wings, and your choice of a A-2 flight leather jacket or Nomex® flight suit. This program takes over where the others leave off. Set your goals on a level of proficiency achieved by fighter pilots. Advanced scheduling required. Groups satisfying the prerequisite are welcome.

 
 
 
 
 

Maintain your fighter pilot skill with our version of the frequent flyer program. We call it our frequent fighter program. As a member of the Air Combat USA® Fighter Squadron, you will be entitled to special flying privileges. You may schedule a mission at any of our published locations for just $700.00 per mission. Limited flights will be allocated to members at each location and some restrictions apply. Fly as often as you like and against your buddies if you wish. This is our way of keeping our squadron members mission qualified in the maneuvers and in the aircraft.
