Saturday, 10-27-2007, at 7:00 am, at the North Las Vegas Air Terminal in Las Vegas, Nevada, I became a “FPFAD.” I want to let your firm know I truly enjoyed the experience and highly recommend the program to any other person who is a flying buff. In addition, the Instructor Pilot who managed to keep me from diving into the ground or wiping out the other Air Combat Marchetti SF260, Jason Googe, was very professional and the epitome of a cool, collected, graduate of the Navy Top Gun training. I appreciated his comprehensive pre flight briefing and made every effort to abide by his instructions, most of the time. With his expert guidance and advice, I completed the flight and will remember the flight as one of the experiences in life that make life great! Finally, our post flight critique by a gentleman by the name of Jim, whose last name I could not read on his name tag (looong name), but who is a tall, mustachioed, retired military pilot, and who lives, I believe, in Southern California, was, and is, also a great asset to your organization. He was also quite professional but in addition to this attribute, he is also very funny. I enjoyed the debriefing he gave, as well as his friendliness and courtesy when I came early, Friday morning, 10-26-07, to take a look at your aircraft and find the conference room where the next day’s briefing would be held. He took time to give me some preliminary information and was sincerely friendly during our brief meeting and conversation on Friday. Then, on Saturday, he debriefed the other pilot and me after our flight, and took the time to answer any questions the other pilot and I posed. Again, he seemed sincerely interested in what he was doing and was also interested in making the experience as memorable for the other pilot and I as he could. I thank your organization for my experience and I thank the two gentlemen referenced above for their professionalism and their providing a truly memorable experience that will long be remembered!
